Mission Statement
Our Mission
At Faith Fellowship Church, our mission is simple:
"To bring people to Jesus and Membership in His family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify God's name."
Everything we do as a church flows from this mission. We believe that God has called His church to make disciples of Jesus Christ who know Him, love Him, follow Him, and share Him with others. Whether someone is exploring Christianity for the first time or has followed Christ for many years, our desire is to help each person take their next step in their relationship with the Lord.
Bringing People to Jesus
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the foundation of our ministry. We believe that every person needs a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again to provide forgiveness and eternal life to all who place their faith in Him. Because of this, we are committed to sharing the good news of Christ in our community and around the world. Through worship services, personal relationships, outreach ministries, missions, and everyday opportunities, we seek to point people to the hope found in Jesus alone.
Connecting People to God's Family
God never intended for believers to walk alone. When a person trusts Christ, they become part of God's family and are called to live in fellowship with other believers. We encourage people to become active participants in the life of the church through worship, discipleship, fellowship, service, and meaningful relationships. Our church family seeks to provide a place where people can grow spiritually, build lasting friendships, and encourage one another in their faith.
Developing Christ-like Maturity
Spiritual growth is a lifelong journey. We are committed to helping believers become mature followers of Jesus Christ through the teaching of God's Word, prayer, worship, and discipleship. Our goal is not simply to increase knowledge but to encourage lives that increasingly reflect the character of Christ. As we grow in our relationship with Him, we learn to love God more fully and serve others more faithfully.
Equipping Believers for Ministry and Mission
Every follower of Christ has been gifted by God for service. We believe that ministry is not reserved for a select few but is the calling of every believer. Through biblical teaching, discipleship, and opportunities to serve, we seek to equip people to use their gifts both within the church and in their daily lives. Whether serving in children's ministry, student ministry, outreach, missions, or caring for others, each person has an important role in God's work.
Magnifying God's Name
The ultimate purpose of our church is to bring glory to God. We desire that everything we do—our worship, our service, our relationships, and our witness—would point people to the greatness of God. Our prayer is that Faith Fellowship Church would be a place where Christ is exalted, believers are strengthened, and lives are transformed for His glory.
Statement of Faith
At Faith Fellowship Church, we believe the Bible is God's revealed truth and the final authority for faith and practice. We affirm the historic Christian faith as summarized in the traditional creeds of the church, including the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed. The following statement outlines the foundational truths that guide our teaching, worship, ministry, and mission.
We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is holy, righteous, loving, good, all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere present. God is unchanging in His character and faithful to all His promises. He alone is worthy of worship, obedience, and praise. Because God is personal, He desires a relationship with the people He created and has revealed Himself through creation, Scripture, and ultimately through His Son, Jesus Christ. (Gen 1:1; 1:26; Deut 6:4; Matt 28:19-20; John 4:24; 10:30, 2 Cor 13:14)
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. As the eternal Son of God, He is impeccable—completely without sin and incapable of sinning. He lived a perfectly sinless life and fully fulfilled the will of the Father in every respect. Through His sacrificial death on the cross, Jesus paid the penalty for our sins as our substitute. He was bodily raised from the dead, victorious over sin and death, and ascended into heaven where He now intercedes for His people. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and humanity and the only way of salvation. We also believe that He will personally and visibly return to establish His kingdom and fulfill God's redemptive plan.
(John 1:1-14; Rom 3:23-25; Acts 2:24-27; 1 Tim 2:5; Titus 2:13)
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity and is fully God. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and draws people to faith in Christ. At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, baptizes, and seals every believer. He empowers Christians to live godly lives, equips them for service, and produces spiritual fruit in their lives. The Holy Spirit also distributes spiritual gifts to believers for the building up of the church and the advancement of God's kingdom. We depend upon His power and guidance in every aspect of Christian life and ministry.
(Matt 28:19; Acts 2:3-7; Rom 8:9; 1 Cor 2:12; 6:19; 12:7-13; Eph 4:30)
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. God superintended the human authors so that the Scriptures are trustworthy, authoritative, and without error in their original writings. The Bible reveals God's character, His plan of salvation, and His will for humanity. It is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice and is sufficient for teaching, correction, instruction, and spiritual growth. We seek to teach and apply the Scriptures faithfully because they are God's truth for every generation.
(Matt 5:18; 2 Tim 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe that God created mankind, male and female, in His image and for His glory. Every human being possesses inherent dignity and value because they bear the image of God. However, through Adam's sin, humanity fell into sin and is separated from God. As a result, all people are sinners by both nature and choice and are unable to save themselves. Though fallen, human beings still reflect aspects of God's image and remain the object of His love and redemption. We believe that marriage is God's design and is the covenant union of one man and one woman. We also believe that every person will one day stand before God and give an account of their life.
(Gen 1:26-27; 2:18-25; 3:16; Rom 3:10-18; 5:12-14; James 3:9; Luke 2:52)
We believe that salvation is entirely by God's grace and is received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. No person can earn salvation through good works, religious ceremonies, personal merit, or moral effort. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God offers forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with Himself, and the gift of eternal life. All who repent and place their trust in Christ are justified before God, adopted into His family, and given the assurance of eternal security. Salvation results in a transformed life that increasingly reflects the character of Christ..
(Acts 4:12; 16:31; Eph 2:8-10; 1 Peter 1:3-5; 1 John 5:11-13; Rom 8:35-39)
We believe that evangelism is central to the heart of God and an essential responsibility of every believer. Jesus Christ commissioned His followers to make disciples of all nations, proclaiming the gospel and helping believers grow in their faith. Sharing the good news of Jesus is not only an act of obedience but also an expression of love for God and others. As a church, we are committed to local outreach, global missions, and equipping believers to be faithful witnesses wherever God has placed them. We desire to see lives transformed by the gospel and communities impacted for the glory of God.
(Matt 28:19; Acts 1:8; Mark 1:17; 2 Cor 5:11-20)
